Update your kitchen and bath. Adding new appliances and fixtures to these high-traffic areas makes your home more desirable to buyers. Add a coat of light colored paint to your cabinets to make them look fresh. New cabinet doors and drawer hardware can update the look of the entire room.

Make your home smart. Today’s buyers are looking for features that make homes more convenient and energy-efficient. Smart-phone controlled thermostats, security systems, carbon monoxide detectors and lights are affordable upgrades buyers love.

Advertise it right. Have high-quality photos taken of your rooms, lots of them, to show buyers all your home’s best features. Make sure your listing shows up everywhere buyers shop, covering agent listing services, social media, and classified ads, and all applicable local outlets.
