Park Hill is one of the first planned neighborhoods for the greater Manhattan area of New York, developed in 1888. Many of the homes found in the area today are the original buildings from the early stages of the neighborhood. The styles of these homes include Victorian, Tudor Revival, and Georgian Colonial homes. Many of the large Victorian homes have been converted into apartments, though plenty of homes are kept in their original state.

Park Hill is conveniently located close to the main areas of the city. This includes the fabulous Getty Square, the downtown core of Yonkers. Park Hill is surrounded by beautifully-maintained parks and recreational facilities. Some of these fine grounds include Pelton Oval, Tibbetts Brook Park, and Anthony O’Boyle Memorial Park. These areas feature miles of tranquil walking paths, gorgeous forestry, and children’s playgrounds.

Another great feature of Yonkers is the Yonkers Raceway and Empire City Casino. This successful establishment has been a part of the Yonkers community since its creation in the late 1800s. Locals know they can count on countless hours of fun and excitement at this fine facility.

Park Hill is provided education through the Yonkers Public School District. This school board is made up of 40 different elementary, middle, and high schools and is dedicated to providing high-quality education to over 27,010 students.

Public School 23 is the closest elementary school to the Park Hill neighborhood. Located on Van Cortlandt Park Avenue, this fantastic primary school is less than a mile from the residents of Park Hill. Public School 23 is home to approximately 615 students in pre-kindergarten through 8th grade.

Yonkers Middle School provides education to approximately 605 students in the 6th to the 8th grades. The population of the school has increased by 24 percent over the last five years.

Yonkers High School is a highly-rated secondary school. The overall test scores at this school lands them in the top 10 percent in all the schools of New York state. Yonkers High is made up of approximately 1,215 students in the 9th to 12th grades.
